This Sunday in Fremantle – it’s going to be busy!

You may already be aware that there are several large scale events planned this Sunday (13 April) in Fremantle.

While there are no planned road closures, the city expects a significant spike in visitor numbers and an associated increase in traffic congestion and competition for parking spaces.

The events include the grand opening of the Esplanade Youth Plaza and the West Coast Blues n Roots Festival, as well as a heavily publicised concert at Rottnest.

The City will place two variable message traffic signs to alert motorists of possible congestion. The signs will be placed at key entry points at Leach Highway and Queen Victoria Street.

We ask that you be patient and perhaps allow extra travelling time coming in and out of Fremantle on Sunday.
