Farewell but not goodbye!

I have been offered an opportunity that I have found hard to decline. Having spent many sleepless nights deliberating over a new job offer I have decided to take the new challenge as I believe I can make a real difference to the community I will be serving.

On the 27th October I start a new career as CEO of the Buurabalayji Thalanyi Aboriginal Corporation. The role is going to be immensly challenging as I will be working in areas such as improving education, protecting cultural heritage, providing quality aged care, ensuring opportunities for better housing and creating opportunities for employment and training. I will also be working with the community to reduce contact with the justice system & providing good governance whilst building operational capacity.

I leave Fremantle knowing that I have served you all to the best of my ability and in a much better state than we were just a few years ago. I take solace in knowing that I am leaving behind an amazing team, confident that our members are in very capable hands!

I value the business community in Fremantle immensely and treasure the friendships we have forged over the years! Fremantle will be the city we all hope and dream of and I will continue to have its best interests at heart.

To who ever takes over from me, I wish them the best of luck!

Thank you for your overwhelming love and support!

With fond regards,

Tim
